Ubisoft postpones the release of its game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

The title, inspired by the universe created by James Cameron, was to be released this year. But Ubisoft made the decision to push it back.

It is important to us that we come up with something perfect”, explained Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft. The game will therefore not be released at the same time as the second part of the cinema saga, Avatar: The Way of Water, scheduled for December.

Our goal is to create a cutting-edge immersive experience that takes full advantage of next-gen technology. This formidable global entertainment brand represents a major multi-year opportunity for Ubisoft”, commented the editor about this postponement.

The game does not have a specific new release date. The studio simply indicated that it had postponed the release to the next fiscal year, between April 2023 and March 2024.

Until then, Ubisoft can count on other titles to end the year in style, such as Mario + The Rabbids Sparks of Hope on October 20 and Skull and Bones on November 8. Not to mention the possibility of a new episode of Assassin’s Creed, titled Assassin’s Creed Rift.

Announcements will also take place on September 10 at the Ubisoft Forward conference.
