Gas and electricity installment bills of several hundred or even thousands of euros that we cannot pay or that make us fear the worst. Whether they are workers or pensioners, owners of SMEs or traders, the Belgians who find themselves in this situation are more and more numerous. And on the side of the Liberals, we want to soothe this anxiety.

Indeed, the MR wishes to impose on suppliers to use as a basis for calculating these installments, a price smoothed over three months, and not the price of the month in which the contract is made. “Whether you take out your contract in a good or bad month, using a quarterly reference price, this allows you to be as fair as possible in relation to market reality. We avoid disproportionate installments or, on the contrary, an excessive regularization. I also invite everyone to make regular installment simulations, every month for example. SMEs, for example, must not stay with the crazy proposals for installments that some received in August”.
