A few days ago, we learned that Bertrand Renard and Arielle Boulin-Prat, the two pillars of the game show “Numbers and Letters”, will not be present in the new version of the show, which will now be broadcast on weekends. -end. We will see them for the last time on the weekend of September 10 and 11.

The two historical figures of the PAF gave their version of their departure by evoking “a situation of rare violence”: “What is modestly referred to as a ‘contractual disagreement’ arose because FTV demanded a drop in our salary from the 60% order and refused to grant us the CDI that we had the audacity to claim, ”they said in the press release.

“Because yes, you read correctly, we have been on fixed-term contracts for 36 years for Arielle, and 47 years for Bertrand…”, they underlined. “We don’t exist even though we’re on the air every day. This regularization was flatly refused to us”.

“We have never been privileged”

Questioned by our colleagues by Ouest-France, Bertrand Renard emptied his bag: “We have never been privileged in the world of TV”, he declared. He notably returned to the conditions of his employment contract and his salary: “We are more around 40,000 € net than 50,000 € per year, as has been said. And we don’t get paid for summer reruns of the show,” he explains.

“The proposal of a €60 increase per day of filming (raising it from €240 to €300) was really the last one that was made to us before thanking us. We are in quibbles of accountants which are a little heartbreaking. The subject was above all, for us, to ask for recognition for having contributed to the image of France Télévisions within a program which is part of the television heritage”.
