The first generation AirPods Pro will be entitled to this novelty – Belgium iPhone

Good news ! Adaptive Transparency is coming to the first generation Airpods Pro.

Early rumors announced that Adaptive Transparency would be limited to the second-generation AirPods Pro. Officially, Apple explained that the H1 chip was not powerful enough to support this new feature.

As a reminder, adaptive transparency is a feature that limits the intensity of deafening noises such as power tools or sirens.

H1 chip/H2 chip: same fight?

Good news, the third beta of iOS 16.1 is rolling out this feature to the first generation AirPods Pro. This probably means that the H1 chip is able to support this new feature. It is not yet known whether the function will be as effective as the new generation. There is still a good chance that the H2 chip manages this mode better. Apple has not yet communicated on this.

Please note, however, it will be necessary to have the 5A304A firmware on the first generation AirPods Pro to take advantage of this new feature. This software is still in a beta phase, but should be deployed soon.
