Often under the spotlight of critics Meghan Markle had a very appreciated gesture this Monday, July 18 when she attended with her husband Prince Harry at a ceremony in tribute to Nelson Mandela. Spotted by the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex had a little attention towards a complete stranger. As she sat behind the princely couple, the lady was seized with a fit of coughing. Meghan Markle then turned around and offered her a bottle of water.

A benevolent behavior that Internet users have decided to value. “Giving her water bottle to another coughing woman says more about Duchess Meghan’s character than any indictment book written about her. #MeghanMarkle #NelsonMandelaDay2022” underlines the Rani-Kali account.

If the Internet user is talking about a book in his tweet, it is because this July 21 was published a book making explosive revelations about the royal family and more particularly about the Harry/Meghan couple. This book, written by Tom Bower, Revenge?: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors is not kind to Archie and Lilibeth’s mother. The author notably accuses him of having caused a scandal in a 5-star hotel in London because of a parrot locked in a cage.

A controversial presence at the UN

Meghan Markle attended her husband’s speech at the UN podium. In his speech, Prince Harry had a few words for “the horrific war in Ukraine”, “the pandemic, war and inflation that have plunged Africa into an energy and food crisis”, as well as for global warming. A speech that was not unanimous. Some people didn’t understand why Prince Harry was the main guest at the event.
