While inflation is raging, many Belgian consumers are tempted to go shopping in France, especially since fuel is cheaper there. For a food brand, “Le Soir” found a ticket 22% cheaper.

HASith an inflation rate that was close to 10% in August, mainly due to soaring energy prices, all means are good to compress expenses, believe many Belgians. Thus they would be more and more to go to France to do their shopping at the supermarket because the prices there would be softer. This cross-border shopping would be all the more attractive for Belgians living near the North of France, because of fuel prices, which are also more lenient there.
