Nintendo has finally unveiled the first trailer for its “Super Mario Bros” movie.
After Sonic, another video game superstar will soon be entitled to a big screen adaptation. Super Mario Bros: The Movie will hit our screens soon. Nintendo released the first trailer for its film at an online event. And the least we can say is that this animated adaptation of the famous video game has something to seduce us.
Remember, the film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, two animation specialists, who notably worked on the Teen Titans animated series. In the casting, we find Chris Pratt, who will lend his voice to the character of Mario and Jack Black, who will lend his voice to Bowser, Mario’s sworn enemy.
Few details have leaked out about the film’s script. However, we already know that we will meet Toad, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong or Luigi there. The trailer doesn’t reveal much more about the film’s storyline, but it has the merit of setting the tone nicely. Super Mario Bros will be a faithful adaptation of the games created by Nintendo. And on the technical side, the project promises to be particularly ambitious.
