Disappointment for Belgian viewers of the “MasterChef” culinary competition, broadcast on France 2 and AB3. At the end of this Tuesday evening’s episode, Samira, the Belgian contestant of the show, qualified for the grand finale of the program, which will already be broadcast next week. Unfortunately, our compatriot was forced to forfeit and will therefore not participate in the very last event.

Due to low audiences during the first episodes, France Télévisions decided to shorten the broadcast time of the program “MasterChef”. This Tuesday, viewers therefore attended the semi-final on France 2 and AB3. And as since the beginning of the culinary competition, the Belgian Samira shone thanks to her creativity and her technique. His achievement during the Maury Sacko test amazed the members of the jury, allowing him to win his ticket for the grand finale of the show, which will be broadcast next Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the Belgian candidate was forced to forfeit just before the recording of this final episode. More than eight months pregnant, Samira gave birth to her child shortly before the filming of the grand finale. “The production knew that there were risks that I gave birth before the end of the shooting. I was confident because there were only two days of filming left and I thought I would give birth at term, like during my first pregnancy. That was not the case”, explains the candidate in the columns of La DH. That said, Samira says she has no regrets. “I am neither sad nor depressed. I have my baby in my arms. The hormones of happiness are there.”

Final Banquet

Following this unexpected event, it was finally Clara, who had finished second in Maury Sacko’s event, who was drafted for the grand finale of “MasterChef”. Marc-Amaury and Zachary will face off next Tuesday at the start of the show to try to join her. Then, the last two candidates will compete for victory in a final test, that of the final banquet, hoping to pocket the sum of 100,000 euros.
