Proximus is increasing the prices of several of its services on 1 January. These are increases of between 4 and 6% on average, depending on the telecommunications company.
The previous price increase at Proximus dates back to May 1. At that time, the price of the most popular Flex plans increased by 3 to 4 euros per month. From January, Proximus will charge a supplement of 3 to 4.5 euros per month for most plans.
A more expensive subscription
The fixed internet rate is also changing this time around. The Maxi Internet subscription becomes 3 euros more expensive, at 54.99 euros per month or 59.99 euros on fiber. Internet Essential, Proximus’ cheapest subscription, remains at 25 euros per month. The monthly price of Mobilus mobile phone subscriptions does not change, but Proximus adjusts the price of certain older products and also increases the cost of out-of-bundle data usage and call minutes for prepaid customers.
A consequence of inflation
The price of a fixed telephone line increases by 1.5 euros per month to reach 26.13 euros.
Proximus is also adjusting some tariffs for its low-cost brand Scarlet. The Loco Internet formula (unlimited internet) goes from 32 to 34 euros per month, the Trio Pack (internet, TV and fixed line) from 40 to 42 euros per month.
Proximus again refers to high inflation. “This leads to a significant increase in costs, especially for wages, energy and prices for technological equipment,” the company says.
