Princess Charlene, 44, arrived radiant in Paris this Saturday, October 1, 2022. The wife of the Monegasque head of state absolutely wanted to attend the show by the Swiss house Akris, which had its place on the official Fashion Week calendar. An ephemeral podium was set up outside the Palais de Tokyo to mark the centenary of the brand.

Princess Charlene, who had not been seen in the French capital for four years, wore a navy blue outfit for the occasion which featured in the spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear clothing collection. The outfit was therefore present during the parade.

Princess Charlene regularly wears Akris clothing. In November 2017, Paris Match had also noticed that the mother of Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella had worn two different Akris outfits on National Day. The former South African swimmer wore no less than five different Akris outfits at events related to the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2011.

The Swiss house Akris was founded in 1922 by Alice Kriemler-Schloch. His son, Max Kriemler took over the company, himself succeeded by his son, Albert Kriemler. Albert Kriemler, 62, is still in charge of the artistic direction of the brand. Albert is co-owner of Akris with his brother Peter. It was under the artistic direction of Albert Kriemler that Akris gained notoriety and the brand has been present at Paris Fashion Week since 2004.

Princess Charlene wore an outfit present on the catwalk but presented in beige. The brand celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. For the occasion, the collection was inspired by certain historical models. This outfit worn by Charlène is inspired by a 1991 collection.

“Thank you Albert for a wonderful evening and congratulations on 100 years of perfection”said Princess Charlene on Instagram, sharing a photo of her arrival at the event.
