Prince Harry celebrated his 38th birthday this Thursday in private as he mourns his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8. The couple stayed at their Frogmore Cottoge residence, located in the grounds of Windsor Castle. His wife Meghan Markle was by his side.
Meanwhile, her brother William was at Sandringham paying homage to the Queen by meeting well-wishers. The Sun newspaper reports that the Prince of Wales would have assured people present in the crowd that he had “not forgotten” the date. Sign that fraternal quarrels are put aside, insists the Sun newspaper.
Princess Diana’s sons were seen together in Windsor on Sunday after William and Kate extended an olive branch, inviting Harry and Meghan to join them in meeting Her Majesty’s grieving subjects who had gathered outside the castle.
The brothers were again seen walking in step, side by side, as they followed their grandmother’s coffin in London on Wednesday.
They were then joined at Westminster Hall by Kate and Meghan.
On Thursday at Sandringham, an optimistic William repeatedly insisted to the crowd that he had not forgotten the 38th birthday of his baby brother, Harry.
