Originally from the southwest where he still lives, Pascal Obispo wanted to share his “anger” and his “sadness” in the face of the fires affecting his region.
“How to express what we feel today as a child of the Arcachon basin…”, asks the 57-year-old singer in a shocking post on Instagram. He appears, sunglasses on his nose against a background of yellowish and smoky sky. The photo shows the special atmosphere of the place and is indignant at the disaster that affects his land.
“Between sadness at this ecological disaster, and anger at what we should have done upstream, in order to prevent and reduce this horrible catastrophe. Between admiration and gratitude for the courage of these firefighters, these pilots, these men who fight for save life and the beauty of the environment that makes us better support existence…Protect yourself protect your elders and protect your children”.
A little over a week ago, when the fires began to spread in the forest of Test-de-Buch, the singer had already spoken on the subject: “No words… Bravo and thank you to the firefighters and the pilots of Canadairs”.
