OnePlus announces “its” Android 13 before Google: OxygenOS 13 and all supported devices

SoftwareAlong with OnePlus 10T, the Chinese company also presented OxygenOS 13, the new version of its skin based on the not yet released Android 13, which will probably not be public for another month. OxygenOS 13 will be based on the new Aquamorphic design, inspired – as its name suggests – by the flow of water, and will be a concentrate of “practicality, reliability and security”. Soft, rounded edges, as is now an established tradition, including widgets, more accessible with a long press. The system’s colors intelligently change depending on the time of day: brighter in the morning, darker in the evening. In addition, thanks to AI System Booster, OxygenOS 13 improves memory management, suspending even more applications at the same time, for an overall experience characterized by absolute fluidity. The always-on display now offers greater customization of the information to be displayed, then there is a series of updates over time, thanks to the Smart Launcher functions (allows you to open a specific application in a folder without opening the together folder) and Sidebar Toolbox (enhanced one-handed mode), HyperBoost for gaming, spatial audio and Dolby Atmos support, Fast Pair and Audio Switch (for switching between audio devices), and the ability to share audio. content with Nearby Share and App Streaming. A long list of names and features, most of them already known, but on which we can not add much, having not tried them first hand in the implementation of OnePlus.

Regarding security, OxygenOS 13 flags any risky app downloads, when connecting to a public Wi-Fi network, the user’s location is obfuscated. There’s also an enhanced version of Private Safe, which is a placeholder to put data, documents, and media files so they can’t be accessed by other apps (and users other than you). OxygenOS 13 will soon be available for download on OnePlus 10 Pro, first in OpenBeta (assume the same day as Android 13 launches), and on OnePlus 10T later this year. The company has also already confirmed which other models will receive the update in the future:
