New Renault Austral: Renault’s family SUV unveils its full range and all its prices!

Orders for the Renault Austral SUV are open. The range with three levels of finishes plus the Alpine Spirit pack and four engines sees its prices between 33,400 and 44,900 €.

Presented in early March 2022, the Renault Austral compact SUV opens for orders from September 20. The first deliveries will take place in the network in December 2022. Articulated around three levels of finishes called Equilibre, Techno and Iconic, the Austral range also offers an Alpine Spirit pack but only on the Techno and Iconic.

Under the hood, the Renault Austral offers a choice of four engines, all electrified. The entry-level offers a 48V light hybridization on a 130 hp 1.2 turbo three-cylinder petrol block, the core range also offers a light hybridization but this time in 12V and is based on a 160 1.3 turbo 4-cylinder ch. Above come two standard hybrid variants (non-rechargeable) combining the entry-level 3-cylinder engine with an electric machine, the first cumulates 160 hp and the second claims 200 hp. The Austral Plug-In will arrive later.

The base price is €33,400 for a Renault Austral Equilibre Mild Hybrid 130 hp and peaks at €44,900 for a Renault Austral Iconic Esprit Alpine E-Tech Full Hybrid 200 hp.

Renault Austral, the main standard equipment by trim level

The first Equilibre trim level comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, hands-free access card, automatic air conditioning and multimedia system on a 9-inch screen, among other things. including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay protocols, the instrumentation has a 12.3-inch panel. In terms of safety, the lane keeping assistant, automatic emergency braking and rear parking sensors are part of it.

The Techno finish adds 19-inch rims, sliding rear seat, multimedia system on a 12-inch screen with navigation via Google Maps, reversing camera, front parking sensors and Multi driving modes -Sense. The Techno Esprit Alpine finish focuses on cosmetics through 20-inch rims and a shield with a more assertive design. Note that the rear seat is no longer sliding.

The Iconic finish adds the Techno finish, a more manly front bumper, specific 20-inch rims, the motorized tailgate with hands-free function, parking exit warning in reverse, blind spot warning and 3D camera with 360° view. Finally, the Austral Iconic Esprit Alpine is distinguished from the Iconic by 20-inch rims with a specific design and the driver assist pack. The latter combines adaptive cruise control, lane centering and predictive driving.
