National strike this Wednesday in Belgium. Faced with rising energy prices, the unions are calling on the government to take measures in favor of purchasing power. The procession will set off at 10 a.m. from Place de la Monnaie in Brussels, where 5,000 to 6,000 people are expected by the FGTB.

In doing so, traffic disruptions are to be expected, especially as part of the Stib staff is taking part in the strike.

The transport company, as well as Tec and De Lijn have warned users. Trams, metro and buses are thus largely impacted in Brussels since the Stib warns that only the following lines operate: line 1 of the metro (extended to Erasme), lines 3, 4, 7 (diverted from De Wand to Esplanade ), 8, 9, 51 (limited to Cimetière de Jette), 92 for trams and bus lines 12, 29, 34, 36, 46, 53, 54, 56, 59, 65, 71, 73, 87 ( extended from Simonis to Etangs Noirs), 88, 95.

All other lines will not run. You can always follow the network’s indications in real time on the Stib’s Twitter account or on their website.

On the side of Walloon transport, traffic is also impacted. Tec has warned its users that lines 8, 9, 13, 15, 17, 28, 39, 40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 56, 61, 81, 82, 91, 103 , 122, 143, 146, 156, 160, 174, 185, 247, 268, 285, 286, 683, 701, 705, 707 are completely removed, and details the disruptions by region.

For Flanders, De Lijn estimates that only 60% of its vehicles will run.

On the other hand, no major disturbances to be expected on the side of the SNCB.
