It was a rare enough fact to be worrying, this Thursday, September 8, in the morning, the doctors ofElizabeth II announced that the Queen’s health was in a worrying state. A large part of the British royal family therefore went to her bedside, at her residence in Balmoral, Scotland, where the sovereign had been staying since July. In addition to his son Charles, who is now king, princes William and Harry made the trip to go to the bedside of the queen. The Palace had already announced that Kate Middleton could not go there, stuck in London with her children. George, Charlotte and Louis have, in fact, made their comeback this Wednesday, September 7.

Contrary to what had been announced, however, Meghan Markle did not accompany her husband, Harry, to the Queen’s summer residence. It is alone that the dad of Archie and Lisbeth arrived at Balmoral, around 8 p.m., after the announcement of the death of Elizabeth II. According to British media, the Duchess of Sussex may have stayed in London, for fear of not being warmly welcomed. Relations between the couple and the royal family remain strained, since the departure of Meghan and Harry, who now live in the United States. This summer, the small family had nevertheless made the trip, for the platinum jubilee of the sovereign, but had not lasted forever in the United Kingdom. In recent days, they were in the country to attend an awards ceremony.

The situation seems to have remained delicate, since Prince Harry has already left Balmoral. The British media announce that he left for London this Friday morning, around 10 a.m. It is also specified that he did not return with his brother or his uncles.
