Maurice almost fell off his chair when Luminus offered to modify his monthly installment by increasing it from 49.93 euros to… 2,955 euros!

It was when he went to his online customer account that Maurice had a shock: Luminus was now offering him a monthly installment for his electricity consumption, the amount of which was nearly 60 times higher than the current one. “Instead of 49.93 euros per month, an advance of 2,955 euros per month was now offered”, explains Maurice in the columns of Belang van Limburg.

Immediately, Maurice contacted Luminus. But after an hour of trying on the phone, he still had no one on the phone.

It was therefore the editorial staff of Belang van Limburg who contacted Luminus. And it was effective. “Mr. Smeets or a Luminus representative entered an incorrect meter reading in MyLuminus on September 7. An incorrect down payment amount was calculated based on this erroneous meter reading,” explained Brecht Snoeks of Luminus Communications. “Mr. Smeets can delete the last meter reading entered online by clicking on the trash can next to it and then entering the correct reading,” adds Brecht Snoeks. More fear than harm therefore for Maurice, fortunately.
