Just before the main event, the House of Black faced Darby Allin, Sting and Miro, a match the House of Black lost by count of three to Black.
After the screen cut out for a promo video about the next match, the House of Black gathered ringside to talk to each other and have a group hug. They then took to the stage and Black bowed down to the crowd and blew them a kiss:
Gestures that seem to follow the news where we learned that Malakai Black had asked to be released from his contract following personal problems, but this request had been refused. Does this unfilmed gesture indicate that Malakai Black is going to retire from AEW forever or that he’s going to take a break to come back stronger? Tony Khan declined to answer the question in a press conference according to PPV:
“I can’t comment on that, but it was for the fans in the arena, and it gets the talk, it was for the fans.”
We will have to be patient to know what happens, maybe Malakai Black will speak publicly soon about his future.
