This Saturday July 20, TF1 launched the eighth season of “The Voice Kids” on TF1, with Louane, Kendji Girac, Patrick Fiori and Julien Doré on the bench of coaches. A first evening of blind auditions rich in emotions, which attracted more than 3.2 million viewers in our French neighbors.

A personality well known to the general public was among these viewers. This is Véronique Genest, known for her role in the detective series “Julie Lescaut”, broadcast on TF1. And if she did not comment on the songs chosen or the voices of the young candidates, the actress wanted to criticize the fact that the members of the public wore a mask.

“I tried ‘The Voice Kids’ but the masked audience is too much for me, I can’t stand this masquerade anymore so it will be without me,” she wrote on Twitter, with a hashtag “Stop Sanitary Hysteria”.

Note that the filming of the blind auditions took place from November 2 to 4, 2021. At the time, the health rules were not the same as today.
