iOS 16 is finalized. The version that will equip the new iPhones should be very close to the one that Apple provided to developers and testers this week. Mark Gurman, in his weekly letter, says that the development of iOS 16 was completed this week.
Keynote, iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8: what schedule for Apple’s new products?
If Apple is done with iOS 16 (and probably watchOS 9), it still has its work cut out for iPadOS 16. Gurman persists and signs: the latter will be available in October just like macOS Ventura. Apple’s two system software will be released alongside new iPads and new Macs.
When it comes to iOS 16, Apple developers aren’t turning their fingers. iOS 16.1 should already be in the works. In addition to the bugs that have since been reported by the testers, this version could include features that were presented at WWDC, but which had been announced for later, such as the famous Live Activities, which will allow you to follow more easily a real-time event such as the score of a match, the delivery of a dish, or the arrival of a taxi.
Developers can now design their “Live Activities” for iOS 16 Lock Screen
Next step for Apple: send the invitation card for its special event. If the date of September 7 is confirmed, it is possible that it will be posted before the end of the month.
