Claire de La Rochefoucauld, producer of the series “Plus belle la vie”, gave an interview to “Puremédias”. She returned to the words of Laurent Kérusoré, the soap opera’s flagship actor, who plays Thomas Marci. And she didn’t mince words…

It has been in effect since May 5: France 3’s flagship series “Plus Belle la vie” will end definitively in November after 18 years of production. A shock decision for many fans of the series, but also for the actors.

One of them, Laurent Kérusoré, who plays Thomas Marci, has a particularly hard time digesting the news. In the columns of “Ici Paris” this July 27, the actor did not mince his words: “Ms Ernotte (note, Delphine Ernotte, president of France Télévisions) didn’t even move to tell us the bad news, not even a letter (…) She sent one of her right arms. We were fired by an enarque who, in two years, will work in a bank or at Orange […] All the actors and technicians are, despite everything, in a positive spirit, without any hatred, but I really would not like to be in the place of the leaders of France Télévisions“, he continued before adding: “It happened in the worst possible way. (…) We learned it at the same time as the viewers“.

Words that did not pass to the producer of the series, Claire de La Rochefoucauld who had a very cash response: “I immediately called Laurent to get his version of the facts because I was quite surprised. Obviously, I do not agree at all with his remarks. Even now, we work hand in hand with France Télévisions. They decided to end the series. This is the life of the series. A series, it stops after a while. We had 18 years of happiness, she notably declared to our colleagues from “Puremedias” this July 29.

Definitely, the opinions differ concerning the stop of “Plus belle la vie”. The least we can say is that the series has punctuated the lives of thousands of fans for 18 busy years. The soap has more than 4,500 episodes.
