Launched in 2015, the Giulia was to embody the revival of Alfa Romeo under the leadership of Sergio Marchionne, in the same way as the Stelvio SUV which arrived two years later. Despite their undeniable dynamic qualities, the two Italians have unfortunately never managed to impose themselves on the premium market against the indestructible German references.

After a first and slight update in 2019, the two big models of Alfa Romeo finally go through a deeper restyling to keep interest with customers. “Deep” is a term to put into perspective since the bodywork of the two cars remains almost identical to those of the previous versions. The restyling indeed focuses on the interior of the optics with a much more intense look which undeniably benefits their presence.

This restyling is accompanied by interior improvements with a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The rest of the dashboard changes very little with the same screen on the center console and an identical general style.

Two diesel and one petrol engine

Alfa Romeo announces three engines on these restyled Giulia and Stelvio: two diesel blocks of 160 and 210 horsepower as well as a 280 horsepower gasoline powertrain. The last two engines mentioned require all-wheel drive while the entry-level diesel will only exist in propulsion. For the moment, the brand does not mention the ultra-sporty Quadrifoglio versions, nor the prices of these restyled models. Will these improvements allow the two models to come back in line against the best German cars in terms of sales?
