LPrince Harry will not wear military uniform at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. He will attend the ceremony in civilian costume.

He was indeed forced to abandon his military honors, following his final decision to no longer assume his duties within the royal family. It is a sanction which had been formalized by the Queen herself in February 2021, with the announcement of the withdrawal of her military honors and the loss of the patronage of all her associations.

It was a decision the Duke of Sussex found particularly difficult, according to information from

A spokesperson for Prince Harry said in a statement: “This does not take away from his many years in the military. These are not defined by the uniform he wears. The prince served in the army for several years, and has also visited Afghanistan.
