It will be possible to apply for a heating bonus of 100 euros until November 1, the Ministers of Economy Pierre-Yves Dermagne and Energy Tinne Van der Straeten announced on Friday. The initial deadline for submitting the request expired on Friday. But the application which makes it possible to introduce the request is experiencing a technical problem, indicated the FPS Economy.

The federal government introduced a heating bonus of 100 euros net at the beginning of the year in connection with the rise in energy prices. Any household having concluded a domestic electricity contract until the end of March is entitled to it. There is no premium for commercial or professional activity contracts, nor for secondary residences.

Many households received the bonus automatically from their energy supplier, through a reduction on the bill or a transfer. Those who did not receive it automatically must request it. The request to FPS Economy can be made online via the website https://prime-chauffage.economie.fgov.be/public, or by post.

The automatic allocation is based on an exchange of data between the FPS Economy, the electricity suppliers and the National Register. But it only works if all the data is 100% correct.
