Lady Louise, regularly considered the “favorite granddaughter” of the Queen of England, was recognized by customers while she was doing a student job in a garden centre. According to The Sun, the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, would have spent the whole summer working in this place.

The Daily Mail, which sought to know more, affirms that the young woman performs the same tasks as other students: welcoming customers, working in the cash register, potting plants, etc.

If the exact location of the garden center was not disclosed in the English media, they still interviewed customers who seemed very surprised to be served by a member of the royal family. ‘It’s not everyday you buy your begonias from a Windsor,’ one customer told the Daily Mail. “She’s a really modest and sweet woman. She’s polite and attentive to customers. I never imagined that the Queen’s granddaughter would one day go behind a checkout.”

A minimum wage before entering university

Although she lives in a 30 million pound mansion in Surrey, her parents have been keen to give their 18-year-old daughter a taste for work. She was therefore able, for a moment, to be a teenager like the others. “She earned 8 euros per hour during this job, the minimum wage”, wrote several media.

At the end of the summer, Lady Louise will prepare to return to St Andrews University, where she will study English. She follows in the footsteps of Kate and William who met there.
