In 2018, Camille Combal left C8 to join TF1 where he has now become a flagship host.
At the time, Cyril Hanouna was disappointed to see one of his talents but also one of his friends leave. And the manner saddened him all the more.
This Wednesday evening, in Touche pas à mon poste, Cyril Hanouna mentioned the subject.
He explains: “I had heard that TF1 had offered him to do ‘Who wants to earn millions’ and ‘Dancing with the stars’. I had said to Camille: ‘If you want to do ‘Dancing with the stars’ or ‘ Who wants to make millions’, tell me, I can understand.’ He replied: “No, no, no. It’s not my thing. If that’s what you see for me, making games on TF1, me, it’s not the career that I I want to have'”.
Before continuing: “I left him to think. I had no more news. Towards the end of the TPMP season, when I arrived at the office in the morning, I saw in Le Parisien an interview with Camille Combal who said : ‘Camille Combal goes on TF1’.”
Cyril Hanouna was disappointed to have learned the news through the press. “I never had him on the phone. He never called me to tell me ‘Cyril, I have made my decision’ (…) I have no rage. Just, I tell you the truth, it pains me. I tell myself that I have worked on a talent for years, and this is what TF1 makes of it.”
