After airplane seats and hotel rooms, concert tickets are likely to be subject to “dynamic prices”. This practice, which can lead to exorbitant prices, is already well established in the United States and is making its way into Europe.

Ln July 20, tickets for the concerts of the 2023 American tour of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band went on sale on the Ticketmaster platform. A moment eagerly awaited by the public, who have not seen the musicians reunited on stage for six years. But Springsteen fans were quickly disillusioned when they saw ticket prices fluctuate before their eyes, sometimes increasing by several hundred euros in a few minutes, until approaching 5,000 dollars (1). Five days after the launch of sales, front row seats were up to 11,290 dollars!
