Starting this week, Carrefour is launching the “purchasing power action” campaign to support the purchasing power of its customers.

“Carrefour is aware of consumer concerns following the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis, the war in Ukraine and the very high inflation of energy and raw materials, exerting historic pressure on household purchasing power” , indicates the sign.

To strengthen the purchasing power of its customers, Carrefour is launching several successive actions “which offer a concrete solution to manage their budget”. The first action of the campaign, which begins on August 22, consists of highlighting SIMPL brand products, more than 300 of the cheapest products in the assortment.

Over 300 of the cheapest products in the Carrefour assortment

In order to cover everyday needs and desires, Carrefour highlights the 300 products of the SIMPL brand which represent the 300 least expensive references in the Carrefour assortment. These products are subject to the most demanding specifications and quality monitoring. “The Nutri-Score is mentioned on each Simpl product in order to indicate its nutritional value and to promote the choice of a healthy diet,” says Carrefour.

These products are available all year round at low prices. The “purchasing power action” aims to highlight them via a marketing campaign (bus shelter displays, radio, web, social networks) and in stores where these products are highlighted.

The brand also offers various solutions throughout the year that will make a difference to customers’ receipts. These include challenge bonuses or “Veggie Thursday” which grants a 20% reduction on a selection of vegetarian and vegan products. Some actions are available at key times such as the start of the school year with the set of school supplies at €15 and the 5x money back action also active from October on toys in order to prepare for the end of year celebrations.

Here are some examples of products

– Simpl chocolate flavored filled biscuits at €1.68/kg;

– Simpl hazelnut flavored spread at €2.73/kg;

– Simpl semi-skimmed milk at €0.75/l.
