If you’ve ever traveled to the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, it’s probably after watching all five seasons of Breaking Bad.
With the story set there, Sony Pictures and the city recently unveiled the official bronze statues of the series’ stars, donated to the city by series creator Vince Gilligan.
Sculpted by Trevor Grove, the two protagonists, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, aka Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in real life, are represented there.
The two actors made the trip for the inauguration of their hard replicas.
Bryan Cranston, the actor who plays Walter White on the show, said at the event: “We remain humbled by this. We are delighted, although it is a bit awkward to have self statues. And when they came to me to say they wanted to make two statues of us, I thought, ‘Wow, fantastic! Heisenberg and Walter White!’ “I’m so grateful. There’s nothing that can prepare us for having a statue of you. But I’m mostly glad they’re indoors so the pigeons can’t defecate on us.”
The five seasons of Breaking Bad are available in full on Netflix in Belgium.
