Apple imposes the end of SIM cards

The Californian giant is forcing the switch to eSIM on the next iPhones in the USA. The days of the traditional SIM are now numbered.

On has known them in almost all formats. In the origins of mobile telephony, they were the size of a credit card. They were then miniaturized, in “mini” then “micro” and finally “nano” format, which most current telephones use. Soon SIM cards will be gone for good. No need to worry about which format to use in your brand new phone.

Last Wednesday, Apple presented its new iPhone line during its traditional annual “keynote”. We mainly remembered inflated European prices and a revised and corrected notch on the brand’s high-end models.
