They will do the meeting of Nathaniel Richards aka Kangan enigmatic character who appeared for the first time in the MCU during the season 1 finale of the Loki series on Disney+.

The One Who Remains & Kang, the Conqueror

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are now introduced to the concepts of the multiverse (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), parallel chronologies of events (Loki), time travel (Avengers: End Game), etc. The eternal time stream protected by the TVA (for Time Variance Authority) and the mysterious One who Remains introduced in the series centered on Thor’s brother are just two of the countless entities-organizations to be aware of to apprehend the threat which now hangs over the MCU.

The character played by Jonathan Majors calls himself The One Who Abides in the final episode “Forever. Forever” of the Loki series. Nathaniel Richards of his human name was the first variant to discover the existence of alternate universes and at the same time its variants. A multiversal war ensues when some of his “doubles”, including a certain Kang, the Conqueror, decide to conquer the multiverse. Emerging victorious from this confrontation and staying in the Citadel of the end of time, He who Remains sets up the famous TVA in order to preserve the sacred line of the temporal flux.

Unfortunately, Loki’s female counterpart aka Sylvie Laufeydottir kills Nathaniel Richards… causing the multiverse to rift. He Who Remains then announces the return in the near future of his evil variant. Kang, the Conqueror is one of the hostile versions of the original N. Richards in the MCU with the ultimate goal of dominating the entire multiverse. Following the death of He Who Remains, Kang takes control of TVA and by extension the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
