Amazon Prime: the differences between Belgium and France – Geeko

Freshly launched in Belgium, Amazon offers a more attractive Prime subscription formula which also offers fewer advantages.

It’s hard not to be seduced by the subscription offer in Belgium. Twice as expensive as in France, however, subscribing to Amazon Prime offers fewer advantages in our country. Explanations.

A price more than twice lower

On the price side, the balance leans in favor of the formula offered by

Against a price of €6.99/month or €69.9/year in France.

The main thing is there

The Belgian formula offers no additional advantage over the French formula. However, we find most of the French Prime offer. Namely, therefore:

  • deliveries in 1 working day
  • access to exclusive offers
  • access to the Prime Video streaming platform
  • exclusive promotions on Prime Gaming
  • unlimited photo storage on Amazon Photos

Less benefits

However, the Belgian formula makes some concessions in terms of advantages. This partly explains the price difference. Are thus to absent subscribers:

  • access to the 2 million titles included with the premium plan in Amazon Music
  • unlimited access to Prime Reading and its ebooks
  • access to Amazon Music Unlimited (paid)

Services reserved specifically for French customers are not mentioned here.

Amazon Belgium confirmed it to us, however, during a telephone interview, the Prime offer will be enriched over the coming months in Belgium. According to the Belgian division, Music and Reading were not included in the offer for catalog rights reasons.
