The Fox franchise will return to PC and consoles, 8 years later Alien: Isolation (other forgettable games have emerged in the meantime), undoubtedly the best game inspired by the universe of the series launched in 1979 by Ridley Scott.
20th Century Games, which partners with Survios, the developers of Creed: Rise to Glory or The Walking Dead Onslaught, two VR games, promises a unique adventure, which takes place during the 57 years that separate the events of the first Alien movie (“the eighth passenger”) and its sequel, Aliens (or “Aliens, the return” in French), released in 1986.
Few details have leaked out about this long-awaited new episode. But we know it will be an immersive horror game, and the title will be also available in VR.
“The Alien franchise offers a distinct and terrifying world that fans love to retreat to, and this is the perfect title for Survios and its expertise in creating immersive gaming experiences.”, said TQ Jefferson, of the Survios studio. “The vast universe of Alien full of untold stories and opportunities to create captivating original games“said Luigi Priore, vice president, Disney, Pixar and 20th Century Games.”We are thrilled to work with a team like Survios who share our passion for Alien and for immersing fans in new worlds and experiences.“
To find out more, you will have to wait a few more days. The game will be discussed during the panel “ALIEN: Expanding a Dark and Frightening Universe”at Comic-Con in San Diego on July 21.
