AEW presented its annual Dynamite Grand Slam live from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens in New York. A great map for this event that was worthy of a PPV.

A wrestling show always has its share of surprises, but Dynamite Grand Slam 2022 had a certainty that a new champion would be crowned. Indeed, the company’s world title was vacant following CM Punk’s further injury and suspension after All Out, which forced Tony Khan to hold a tournament to crown a new champion.

The grand finale was between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. After a match lasting over 20 minutes, Moxley was finally able to capitalize on Danielson with a Death Rider on the stage and apply his Rear Naked Choke to knock him out of the air and win via submission:

Jon Moxley now becomes a four-time world champion with this win. On the other hand, the tension seems to rise in the Blackpool Combat Club since after the match Danielson took away the belt from Moxley during his celebration. But once the show was over, Danielson and Moxley were able to make peace. They shared a hug and then celebrated together.

You’ll have to watch future episodes of AEW to find out when MJF gets his match for the World Championship he earned on All Out.
