Earlier in the evening, Tony Khan announced on Twitter that the match between Andrade El Idolo and #10 for AEW Rampage on October 7 was canceled. An announcement without explanation, but thanks to TMZ Sports we understand why.

Indeed, TMZ Sports and Fightful obtained the information that Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo exchanged blows before Dynamite’s October 5 airing which took place in Washington. The incident came hours before the show after a verbal exchange between the two men, which reportedly led to Guevara pushing Andrade and the blows were delivered at the time. On the other hand, the sources on the side of TMZ and Fightful are imprecise in order to know if a blow hit the target or if everyone was separated before being able to hit the other.

An event that forced AEW leaders to send Andrade El Idolo home, while Sammy Guevara was present during the October 5 show. Which seems to confirm that Andrade was indeed the first to land a blow and that he was removed from the lineup for an indefinite period. We will have to wait for the next information to know more. Andrade simply posted a Tweet saying, “Respect me and I’ll respect you.”

A story that dates back to the last days between Andrade and Guevara. Both wrestlers have done interviews saying negative comments about each other. Also, Guevara was reportedly very critical of Andrade backstage at AEW complaining that he was too violent in the ring. Which leads to this new AEW backstage brawl today. An exchange on Twitter between the two where Andrade invited Guevara to come and tell him his criticisms in person:

TMZ sources also mentioned that a lot of people behind the scenes would be frustrated with Sammy Guevara for going public with private issues. New issues behind the scenes of AEW that do not help the events after All Out.
