Why “back to school” necessarily rhyme with gray skies and gloomy mood? We found the Brussels meeting not to be missed under any circumstances to make us smile despite the recovery.
The video of the day :
A giant brunch on the Place de la Monnaie
It has become the meeting place for Brussels foodistas. The Chloé Roose Brunch Club (aka Brussel’s Kitchen) brings together 7 Brussels chefs each month around a 7-course vegetarian tasting menu, drinks included. A unique experience that will take place in a very special way on September 18, during the annual Sunday without cars. For the occasion, the concept will take the form of a “Brunch Club en Ville” on the emblematic Place de la Monnaie.
The idea? Recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Brunch Club, but in a new place, and thinking even bigger. Because this famous brunch will be organized around a single table of nearly 100 seats. In a good vibe that still smacks of summer and aperitifs with friends. And if it’s ugly, everything has been planned. The large table will be moved to another mythical place in Brussels: the Galerie du Passage (between Rue Neuve and Boulevard Adolphe Max).
“I like the super friendly idea of a large shared table”explains Chloe Roose. “We wanted to create a very festive and euphoric atmosphere, like a ‘neighborhood party’. It’s also a good way to revitalize the city center, often considered touristy and where the inhabitants no longer live. municipalities of Brussels and elsewhere to return”.
Downtown nugget chefs
And to play it “down town” atmosphere to the end, the Brunch Club en Ville has bet on renowned chefs located in the city center. On the menu ? A line-up that immediately makes you want to book: Francine, Le Conteur, Vertige, Barge, Nona Pasta, Entropy and Maison Dandoy. To accompany this rather famous menu, you can taste Chandon Garden Spritz, the non-alcoholic cocktail G&Tea made with Botaniets, Kefir Eau Verteuse or Uphill Brewing nitro coffee. “A kitchen will be installed outside so that the chefs can cook in front of you, facing the Place de la Monnaie”, adds Chloe. So let the show begin!
