Between October 1 and 7, 3,153 new Sars-CoV-2 contaminations were detected on average per day in Belgium. An increase of 11% compared to the previous week, according to the latest figures from Sciensano. If the situation is far, very far from being dramatic, the coronavirus is still present in our country and is starting to circulate massively again.
In some places, we are therefore considering taking certain measures to prevent the spread of the virus. See more. In the north of the country, a school in Aalter has just returned to “corona” light mode. As the Nieuwsblad explains, five primary school staff have contracted the virus. “To prevent further spread, we have taken preventive measures,” explained the management.
In concrete terms, staff must once again wear a mask when moving around the establishment and, except in an emergency, parents must wait for their child at the gate. “Parents are also asked to wear a mask at this time.”
Class closures are not on the agenda, but the management asks parents to be particularly attentive to the health of their child.
